One Short Day In New York City, New York
Manhattan known to many as the center of the world happens to play host to the best known Fashion Week – “Olympus New York Fashion Week.” With such standards in place, it is no wonder that some of the best shopping experiences of my life took place in New York.
Century 21 – A Girls Shopping Dream
I was shocked and surprised that many of my New York friends had no clue this palace of discount designers existed. The shoe department alone carries over 100,00 pairs at any given time! Trying making an outing of it, gather up the girls and have at it. As I discovered they carry everything from clothes, cosmetics to lingerie all in designer labels with deep discounts running from 25 – 60%.

INA – A Designer Thrift Store.
With 5 locations strategically placed throughout Manhattan, these stores regularly carry items that make headlines during NewYork Fashion Week. Love ‘Sex and the City’? Patricia Field, stylist for the show regularly shops and drops items off here.

UNIQLO – East Meets West
Globally recognized for its easy-to-wear staples and marvelous luxury items like cashmere sweaters that come in all the colors of the rainbow, this Japanese brand is a must visit. You will have to make the pilgrimage to New York as the City places host to the only store in the US.

TOPSHOP – A London Classic.
Introduced to this London based brand while in the UK, I was thrilled to hear they had opened a storefront on this side of this pond. They have fast become my favorite retailer in New York, carrying trend setting designers like Kate Moss.
