Artist Spotlight: Betty Jordan Wester

Betty Jordan Wester was born in 1973 and grew up in Cardiff by-the-sea, a sunny seaside town in Southern California. There she developed a fascination with the seemingly ordinary concealing the extraordinary, smallness in the face of urbanization, and restraint in a culture of excess.

Her work explores the themes of unconventional beauty, innocence, decay, imperfection, sublimated sexuality, transience, impermanence, mystery, and horror.

She currently lives in San Francisco creating outsider art featuring downtrodden Miss Moneypennys on interdimensional holiday.
